Solar & PV Installation
Solar and inverter systems sized to what you actually run, installed and maintained. Built for Nigerian grid conditions, with the running costs stated up front.
Power that does not depend on the grid
Nigerian businesses budget for generators, fuel, and the hours lost when neither is available. Solar changes that arithmetic — but only when the system is sized against the load you actually have, rather than a package a supplier had in stock.
An undersized system disappoints from the first week. An oversized one is money that could have stayed in the business. Both are common, and both come from skipping the survey.
What we handle
- Load assessment and system sizing
- Solar panel supply and installation
- Inverter and charge controller installation
- Battery banks — lithium or tubular, quoted with their real lifespans
- Changeover and protection wiring
- Ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and fault-finding
How we size a system
- Measure the load. Every appliance you want covered, its power draw, and how many hours a day it genuinely runs.
- Decide the autonomy. How long the system must carry you with no grid and no sun. This drives battery cost more than anything else.
- Size the array and the bank against those two numbers, then quote the result itemised — panels, inverter, batteries, mounting, wiring, labour.
You get the calculation, not just the total. If the honest answer is that solar does not pay for your situation yet, we will say so.
What we tell you before you commit
- What the system will and will not run, appliance by appliance
- Expected battery replacement interval, and what that will cost
- What happens on consecutive cloudy days
- Which parts carry a manufacturer warranty, and for how long
Solar is sold on optimistic assumptions more often than most technology. We would rather quote a system you are still happy with in year three.
Common questions
- How much does a solar system cost?
- It depends entirely on the load, so we do not publish a single figure. The cost is driven by how much you need to run, for how many hours without the grid, and whether you want to cover the whole building or only essentials. We survey the site, measure the real load, and quote against that — a system sized from a guess is either short or wasteful, and both are expensive.
- Can solar run my air conditioner?
- Usually yes, but it is the single biggest driver of cost. Air conditioners, water heaters, and electric cookers draw far more than lighting and electronics, so a system that covers them can be several times the price of one that does not. We will tell you what each appliance adds before you decide.
- How long do the batteries last?
- Lithium batteries typically last far longer than tubular or sealed lead-acid, and cost more up front. We quote both where they are sensible, with the expected replacement interval for each, so you can compare the real cost over the system's life rather than only the purchase price.
- Do you maintain systems you did not install?
- Yes, subject to a survey. We will inspect the existing installation and tell you honestly whether it is safe and worth maintaining, or whether the wiring and protection need correcting first.
